My Name is Anna Marie... but I go by Annie

My Parents gave me the name Anna Marie, and when I was a little girl, one of three and the only girl, a tom boy really, I decided that Annie fit my personality better. I was out getting dirty, climbing on trees, riding bikes, going on adventures, something more down to earth seemed, in my opinion, best. My father still to this day calls me Anne, its a hybrid between Anna and Annie, 😊.

When I created Anna Marie Photography llc I knew almost immediately that the name would be Anna Marie. You see in my twenties I didn't pursue my creative side, I was actually quite successful in the mortgage business as a Operations Manager and Mortgage professional. I like to think of that as my left brain, "Annie". Numbers where always my thing as well as having a strong creative side, right brain which is "Anna Marie". In my early twenties I ran a small business of my own as well. Once my Husband and I were pregnant with our daughter Rylee in 2014 I really started to pursue my dreams of being a Photographer, my creative side. While that doesn't seem so long ago, my journey started back in College I took Photography dark room, my husband bought me by first professional camera in early 2009. So in early 2015 I upgraded my equipment after getting a ton of pro bono work under my belt and I hit the ground running. I truly felt that if I am going to be this role model to our daughter, that I need to live my truth, that I should be following my dreams if I am going to be telling her to do the same. The moment I felt that my work was Professional, as I am self taught, so this took years and years of training and practicing, I started booking customers and it has just taken off. I am so grateful to all of my friends, family, and extensions of my Friends and Family who have believed in me. In just a few years I have delivered beautiful work that I am extremely proud of to Customers for Weddings, Engagement, Newborn, Senior Photos, Professional Headshots, Product Photography, Fitness, Website Marketing, Milestone, and more types of Photography than I can probably list here. Starting in 2017 I began having works Published by companies such as Pink Blush Maternity and WAHI yoga Product lines.  2019 around 100 sessions, doubling my business from 2018 to 2019. 2020 was up and down due to the National Pandemic restrictions but that was okay because I took time off to spend solely with my daughter and furthering her education.  I love shooting outdoors, and on location for any Photography Purpose that involves People, Moments, Memories, or a Purpose to further Small Business. I also have a location for Newborn, Maternity, Headshots, and Marketing Content. Now Fast forward to 2023 I spend my Sundays shooting Family Photos at Sunset, and my weekdays editing. Mid week I take on Portrait and Marketing Shoots. I have flexibility mid week for Newborns and Business handholding. I take on 1-2 Weddings a year. My new hobby and obsession has become chasing a lower handicap on the golf course.

People ask me what I like to shoot and I always reply with "PEOPLE". That is the truth because I like to stay creatively inspired, and shooting indoor and out, and for different purposes and end results and moods is really inspiring to me as well. Staying inspired and being creative is very important to me. I do passion projects, really whenever I feel like it, so please don't every hesitate to ask me if you have a project to work on. I will most likely be interested.

I really love what I do and that shows in my work, I am invested in each and every photograph that I deliver. Always creating Always Growing.
